Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade -- modern institution of state ownership, accredited by the IV level. Today Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade is one of the leading universities of Ukraine in training specialists for the restaurant business, hotel and tourism, commerce, food industry, customs, tax, economic and financial services.

Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade has made achievements in building the economy and contribute to the creation of decent international image of Ukraine, University awarded a diploma and commemorative medal nominee anthology "The Golden Book of Ukrainian Elite" (2001), is awarded the rating "Top 100 enterprises of Ukraine in the category" Higher education .

Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade was established on the basis of the Kharkiv State Academy of Food Technology and Management by the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on October 11, 2002 № 577-p. A brief excursion into the past provides an overview of dynamic and progressive development of the university since its founding to the present day.

Work of the Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade is guided by the University Law of Ukraine "On Education", "On higher education, the State National Program" Education. Ukraine XXI century ", the basic legislative and normative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine: the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 23.01.2004 № 49" On approval of the Program for the implementation of the Bologna Declaration on Higher Education and Science of Ukraine for 2004-2005 and on a pedagogical experiment with credit-modular system of educational process, the Charter of the University, the concept of educational activities, development strategy HDUHT.
